For this assessment we had 6 looks to reaserch and to pick from. Black magic, baby doll, eastern promise, colour mission, summer nights and parisienne chic. I chose to focus on black magic, I liked the dark, drematic colours and how the theme could be interpritated in different ways. From white witches and voodoo dolls to she wolfs and gothic women, I had lots of choice and areas to explore.
I went with dramatic dark eyes and big lashes on the top and bottom of the eyes. I chose to use white contacts to further the dark and frightening look. I painted the lips black and face pale white, I darkened the hollows of the cheeks to make my model look gaunt, my face was complete. I wanted the hair big and crazy! I spent most of my time on the hair, winding small sections around hair pins and holding the straightners to them. This gave a frizzy, crimped apperance; giving the hair lots of volume and messy bounce! I back-combed the style to make in a bit more wild. I dressed my modle in a black leotard, fishnets and tutu, with lots of metal jewlerry and big biker boots! Sarah, my model, was brilliant, her petite figure, mane of hair and big eyes worked perfectly for me.
A stressful day but i enjoyed it! I liked working to a time scale to get a feel of life in industry! I liked having all my products set out and a plan of exactlly what i was doing. There were little things that I would have changed but nothing major, I was happy with my total look! I'm looking forward to doing more tasks like this.
